HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Halloween is so much fun! I feel like it's been years since I actually got to dress up... so when Fox 8 asked us to get a costume for the show today, I jumped right on board! Big thanks to Chelseas in Lakewood for the costume! (um, can I keep these boots... they rock!) Today, Rebecca and I were live on "That's Life with Robin Swoboda"... and viewers had to guess who we were to win a prize (we were masked originally!) Here I am with Robin and Jimi Sprinkles...
We even played Musical Chairs live on TV... oy... I haven't done this in forever!
I'm realizing as I post this, I never did ask the crazy bird lady for her name... but the costume was sooooo cool! Hey bird lady, if you're reading this, email me your name so I can post it here!! And thanks for the pic! (jen@q104.com)
UPDATE: IT'S BUFFY HILL FROM MEDINA!!! THANKS FOR THE EMAIL, BUFFY!
After the live show at Fox 8, I actually had a meeting... and yes, had to walk through Playhouse Square in this costume to meet with the owner of M Lang... Mike Lang himself on the right, Tom Stanton one of our Q Sales crew on the left... Mike will be in studio tomorrow for Whatever Deals! A $50 gift certificate to the store for just $25!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
My morning started at 8:15 am today at Color Nation Salon and Spa in Rocky River... JOANN IS THE BEST! (pictured above) She came in early to give me this SWEET 'do for "That's Life with Robin Swoboda" Halloween show today... I think I secretly want to live in the 60's! This hairstyle rocks! THANK YOU SO MUCH JOANN AND COLOR NATION!!!
We don't always get to see "behind the scenes" pix, so I took a few for ya... pictured above is my best friend Stacy (and former college roommate!)... she's one of the producers on "That's Life with Robin Swoboda"... and was the Grim Reaper today for Halloween... I LOVE working with Stacy on this show...
AH! IT'S MISS REBECCA WILDE! Or is it the crazy astronaut lady Lisa Nowak??? GREAT COSTUME!!!

DATE HIM OR DUMP HIM?
THIS IS THE EMAIL YOU HEARD ON AIR MONDAY AFTERNOON... WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE SHOULD DO??? POST COMMENTS HERE OR EMAIL TO JEN@Q104.COM
Jen,
I had my 4th date with a new guy this past Saturday... the first few dates were great and typical, he took me out for drinks, followed by two more dinner dates. He was a perfect gentleman- he paid, did all the typical things you would expect on dates. So this past Saturday night, he suggested we stay in - wine and a movie. I was pretty excited about it... until he ran about an hour and a half late. THEN, when I got to his house, he proceeded to keep getting text messages and phone calls the whole evening. He never answered the calls... but he did respond to a few texts and I was thinking, hey buddy, just turn off the darn cell phone!
Now Jen, I don't know if this is grounds for never seeing him again, but I just really thought it was disrespectful to me... can you use this in a Date Him or Dump Him segment and see what your listeners think??
Thanks!
Andrea

Feeling a bit pensive this evening...
... it's about 11 pm on Sunday evening and I'm coming down from a fantastic weekend. And I'm having one of those moments where I want to share. So today's blog is more of a "journal-esque" type entry.
Often when I'm online checking emails/show prepping and such at home, I'm listening to music. On this particular evening, I'm very thankful of how music can move me. There are certain songs in life... just ones that you can really feel. It's something about the way it sounds, combined with the actual lyrics, and the mood it creates when you hear it- the way it sometimes completely tells the story of what YOU are currently experiencing. When I listen to songs like that, it's almost like they swallow me. I'm completely surrounded and loving the whole experience of the song. Some songs like that in my past: "Color Blind" The Counting Crows, "Video Killed The Radio Star" The Buggles (cheesy as it may be), "I Shall Believe" Sheryl Crow, "Stay or Leave" and "So Damned Lucky" by Dave Matthews and "All I Need" Mat Kearney are just a few that immediately come to mind.
My most current song that moves me? "Apologize" by Timbaland and One Republic. The lyrics are so simple yet so very powerful in my opinion. So tonight, I wanted to post them here. If you haven't heard the song yet, you'll LOVE it. And you'll hear it on Q104.
I'm holding on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground
I'm hearin what you say but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around, and say...
It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize,
it's too late
I'd take another chance,
take a fall
Take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
But it's nothin new -
yeah yeah
I loved you with a fire red-
Now it's turning blue, and you say...
"Sorry" like the angel heaven let me think was you
But I'm afraid...It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
It's too late to apologize, yeah
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah-

COLBIE CALLAIT COFFEE SHOP CONCERT
Big thanks to Ante Up Studios for welcoming Q104 and Colbie Callait this afternoon! She performed 3 songs (including Bubbly) for a group of Q104 listeners and then took questions from the crowd... show is tonight at the House of Blues.
These are two of the guys from the band:
Here she is singin'... in my opinion, she looks a lot like Jennifer Aniston... these are pix from Skippy the PD's camera, can't upload mine til I get home tonight, there's a better close up of her face so you can see what I mean... stay tuned for more photos later.

I WANT A NEW HOBBY... CAN YOU HELP ME FIND ONE?
It's funny as we get older, life tends to become a bit "routine" sometimes, doesn't it? Our great city has so much to offer, that I've decided to take it up on some of those great things. So here's the deal: I want to try something new. Whether it be taking a class at a local school or community center, learning pottery/acting/macrame/scuba diving/sign language, volunteering my time to an event I haven't worked on before, or joining a club or organization that you just think is fantastic. But before I decide WHAT new thing I'm going to do, I need to know all about whats out there...
SO... I ask you. What's your hobby/organization/event? Tell me all about it. Why should I join? Post comments here or send me an email at jen@q104.com. Can't wait to hear from you.
